NFL Draft Watch 2009

With the college football season around the corner it’s time to look at this years crop of players that could be names mentioned come next April.  I have spent a lengthy period of time combing over each roster in division 1.  (I do not refer to it by the new name the NCAA has given it.)

Some of the players are seniors, juniors, & others have been reshirted in a prior year but are eligable to enter the 2009 draft if they choose to go that route depending on the year they have.  Many names are probably obvious while others may cause you to do some research to know who they are and what they have done.

Wow that is a tough choice Lee. Offensively I really like Matthew Stafford & Defensively I really like Rey Maualuga.

I’m still trying to understand how Moala is ranked higher by so many than Maualuga. As good as Fili is, Rey is the unquestioned anchor of that d. He’s a hard-hitting monster.

Oh, you don’t have to convince me of that. I constantly look at rey’s hits on you tube. I will say it now, i am hoping with 1 of the eagles 2 first round picks in 2009 they land him.

Maybe it’s because he’s missed a few games to injury that some question his durability. I wouldn’t question a guy who can hit like that. I can’t wait to see him level Chris Wells into the ground.

From what I have scene from him is he can do it all and is a leader for that team. I think because they are always stacked that it could be a factor over looked by scouts.
