Great Hope for the new Season begins NOW!!

I am going to start off by saying I’m glad to be back for another year of blogging the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and thank Kevin for running a terrific site with AMAZING and KNOWLEDGEABLE bloggers.
I would love to see Brett Farve in a Bucs uniform but I will let the whole bizarre situation play out and if he comes to Tampa I will have my thoughts then.
There are a bunch of quarterbacks looking to win the backup role to Jeff Garcia who is in his final year of his contract and he has not even began talk on an extension.  Looking to win a job are Brian Griese,Luke McCowen,Chris Simms, and rookie Josh Johnson.  My guess is Griese and McCowen  will be backups and they will finally trade Simms to Detroit.

The running back situation is down to three guys after the Bucs put Cadillac Williams on the physically unable to perform list with it down to Earnest Graham,Micheal Bennet and the return of Warrick Dunn who has looked reborn so far.

There are a bunch of receivers looking to make an impact this year behind Joey Galloway with Micheal Clayton and Maurice Stovall the leading candidates with Micheal Spurlock and rookie Dexter Jackson with outside chances to start.

That’s a look at the offence and I will look at the defence including newly signed first round pick Aqib Talib in my next blog.

Take care all

    You would actually want Brett?

I wouldn’t. Garcia has been nothing but great for the Bucs and he has been very humble about it also.
He wanted a new contract, but said he wouldn’t miss time holding out, and he didn’t.
Plus he’s a lot smarter then Brett, and is a better controlled QB.

Also, kicking Garcia to the bench would be a big kick in the teeth.

Not that “Chucky” wouldn’t do it.

Oh, and by the way, that superbowl was Dungys, not Grudens. (sorry, pent up frustration from that superbowl that my Raiders didn’t show up to.)

    Also, do you like Gruden?

    Would you want Dungy back?

Favre in TB would be an interesting scenario for sure.
