Two QBs is a dumb way to go. The oline needs to get used to the movements and tendencies of one qb not two.I like the two RB idea, but not two QBs.
Weisenhunt started this out in Arizona, and I don’t really think that it works there, so I would bet that doing this will be a short lived experiment.

2 QB system works more in college then it will ever in the pro's.........rarely do you ever see one work at that level

Not big on this either. After a few games Randy Shannon has to decide on a starter or you just end up having 2 back-ups.

If I had to guess is with it being only practice both didnt do anything to say one was better then the other. Since both were considered pro-style when recruited it doesn't make sense to play both, unless he is looking to see who is not going to fold fast under pressure when seeing actual game time.

Sometimes they have to see at that point to really know what they have.

I agree it worked for LSU and Florida but those were situations with a young and coming QB (Tebow, Perriloux) and a veteran QB (Flynn, Leak). Veteran QB’s tend to see the bigger picture better than others.
And I don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but it would be great for the ACC and College FB in general if both Miami and Florida State returned to their old selves. I remember when those Labour Day clashes were “the game” of the opening month.

Yeah, I agree it would be better for the game with them getting back to the level they were once at right now it is just like they are there.

I have noticed watching how Florida St is recruiting it is without a doubt looking like they are trying to get a offense similar to LSU with mobile QB's and a ton of speed. The influence of Jimbo Fisher is noticable to me and he came to them from LSU and will be their head coach probably after this season or not long after.

Interesting decision. I hope Miami chooses to name an starter before they get deep into the ACC schedule. I believe the 2 QB system definitely cost teams a game or two per season.
And if you don’t believe me ask the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts…

It's for sure something that either it works like it did for Florida & LSU or it doesnt work (many choices I am sure here).

What it does tell me is Randy Shannon knows the path to bring Miami back is not a short one and is willing to take some lumps along the way in bringing them back.

Being a Florida St fan, I hope it takes a long time but on the other hands I also love college football and for the better of the game it would be better when they do get to their old level.

Can't say much in CFL, It's rarely shown in the states.
