Edmonds has really picked up his play over the last month. I would love to hear from the critics now about how he would play for this club. People saying he wasn’t even the same fielder anymore! Jim has made like 5 sportscentre catches since joining the Cubbies…

And the winner is…David Wright. Wright will take Sorianos spot. Like I said in my blog he likely is the most deserving with his numbers, a solid fielder, the fan voting, and the NYC thing didn’t hurt his chances.

You gotta love the guy! Griffey Jr. is one of my all-time favorite athletes. I have had this convo on here before about how I used to rock the backwards hat and do the Griffey swagger when playing baseball out in the school yard….He is one hell of a ball player and an even better role model. This guy is the anti-Bonds.
Really if they want to put a classy touch on the final all-star game at Yankee stadium why not have one of the sweetest swings in baseball history in the dugout.

Getting griffey’s autograph in Cherry Hill, NJ when i was 14 in 1994 was one of the best things i ever did.

Yes I agree it isn’t the best game in the world but it is what it is. The derby is always my favorite part of the weekend.
Now what about Griffey? Would anyone really have a problem with him being named as the injury replacement for Alfonso? If not I think he should be the guy…I won’t lie I voted for Griffey to start.
