What a night so far at the draft. A few surprises for sure. Look forward to your thoughts after the draft.

Sonics have a deal in place to send the 4th pick, assuming OJ Mayo is taken by Minnesota to the Clippers who will draft, Eric Gordon at 4?, and Seattle will take Brooks lopez at the 7th.

Clippers are desperately trying to get ahead of the Grizzlies to take Gordon, maybe underrated abit great scorer

I know the sixers say they want a big man in this draft but with this being the final season of Andre Miller's contract i think the bigger need is to have a point guard learn from him for the year and be ready to take over for him since there has been no mention of possibly extending his deal at all.

If DJ Augustine does not fall to #16 i would hope Mario Chalmers does and take either one of them. Then look to Free Agency for an experinced big man who they wont have to wait a few years to develop into something since they could use help now.

A lot of morning updates, this rumored deal that has Baron Davis going to the Pistons is a fabrication, no such deal ever discussed; Carmelo was discussed not happening.

The Bobcats grabbeed the 20th pick from Denver to try to draft Roy Hibbert, slightly ahead of Utah, he still could go the Cav's at 19; nice pickup.

Also heavy Marion rumors starting up, the Clippers, Pacers, Raptors have put feelers out, others are expected to start asking as well, if the Heat do take Beasley; either Marion or Haslem are out.

I guess with Shawn Marion not opting out of his final year of his contract it has made the Heat look at moving their top pick!

Cannot take credit here right on the TJ deal, right on the Hornets deal late here, Denver dealt the 20th pick overall to Charlotte for a protected first rounder in 2009

Pat Riley and the Heat are not sold on Michael Beasley, Riley is exploring trading down and drafting a PG or aquiring one as part of the package, with Marion staying I guess this makes sense but passing on Beasley seems crazy to me; Best player in this draft... by Far

Also quite possible that Heat draft OJ Mayo outright

Here are a few scenario's Riley is considering

drafting Beasley and shipping him and center Mark Blount to Seattle for the No. 4 pick and forward Chris Wilcox; or dealing Beasley and Blount or guard Daequan Cook to Memphis for the No. 5 pick, forward Mike Miller and either guard Kyle Lowry or Mike Conley Jr. A source close to the Grizzlies said Memphis has no interest in parting with Conley.
