Certainly an interesting concept from the point of view of both the Universities and the student-athletes. For the coaches the “early” November signing day would be very beneficial, you could essentially lock up recruits months before you could previously. Which would appear to me to give an advantage to the lesser schools in securing Blue Chip recruits. And for coaches who maybe secure recruits after they’ve made verbal commitments to other schools *cough* Spurrier, Petrino, Meyer who voted against the proposal would be at a disadvantage.
For the student-athletes it would mean they could pick a school for sure and stop the mountain of letters and text messages months earlier. So why not accept this proposal?

I say yes to this too! You can sign early in other sports. I remember I did it in track at Clemson.
