The team over at RawVegas recently spoke to Wanderlei Silva about his upcoming bout with Keith Jardine at UFC 84 as well as what he wants to do after the fight. Silva spoke very highly of Jardine as he told RawVegas, “he’s [one of] the best three in the world”. Jardine is coming off of his UFC 76 victory over Chuck Liddell this past September and is looking to add another legend to his list.
Silva does expect the feet to be another stand-up war as he explained, “I want to fight in the striking, it’s my style and his style.” He isn’t sure how Jardine is going to respond when he finds out that Silva still has punching power though.
When asked what he could’ve done better in his fight against Liddell, Silva said, “I want to fight with Chuck again because last time I wasn’t in my best condition, not the same as I have now. I have good sparring [sessions] and good teachers and I want to fight with him again in the future before he stops fighting.”
One thing is for sure though, Silva will be different this time in the Octagon, “I have no more pressure, I’m going into my second fight, I am more relaxed but I’m training more.”

I am very excited to see that fight! Who do you think will win Justin?

i think with liddel he had to be more conservative as liddel is a well described counter puncher. With Jardine i see Silva being able to be himself, to be able to come forward and overwhelm jardine. It’ll be good, but combined with a bit less octagon jitters i give this a 2nd round ko for silva
