As of this post-time, the draft is getting perilously close to the Giant’s 31st pick. So far, there has been no movement on Shockey. Is this because they are keeping cool, or that other teams are just not biting the type of deal for them to pull the trigger?
Still NY sources are saying that the Saints deal might still happen. We shall see. Who will blink. Might not happen until the Saints come around to the 2nd round when the iron gets hot. Saint, in the meantime, are close to a deal with the Eagles for cornerback Lito Sheppard. That trade scenario holds on to their 2nd pick, with Brown and a later round on the table with them. So, intent for the Saints is to pull two trades. Just a matter or time? Or will things changed?
Meanwhile, Dan Connor, ILB, is still not taken. Will he last till the Giant’s pick?
More soon. Jets just snuck into the late 1st round with a trade.

You gotta like Phillips with this pick!
