The NFL announced today that the Aaron Rodgers lead Packers will play host to the Minnesota Vikings on opening weekend. It will take place Monday, September 8, 2008 at 6pm Central (7pm EST) as part of a Monday Night Football doubleheader. (The other game following the conclusion of the Packers game, will feature Denver @ Oakland. Both games are to be televised on ESPN. Also…The Packers were one of a handful of teams to recieve one of the 32 compensatory draft picks the NFL handed out during the annual league meetings in the ‘Sunshine State’. It will be a fourth round pick for the record!
