The Pistons have now lost 3 of 4 and are in a little slump. Rip Hamilton missed his 2nd consecutive game with a hip injury. Billups led the way for the Pistons scoring 24 points. Chris Bosh had 21 for the Raptors. It wasn’t the best effort for the Pistons tonight and this is not the way they want to be playing going into the playoffs. A good sign for this team however, is their bench. They have a long bench of about 11 solid players who can get in there and step up. I think that coach Flip Saunders may shorten it come playoff time however, which I disagree with. With the season almost over, things should start to heat up in the East.

Hamilton has been a Raptors killer so not having him the line-up hurt for sure. Raptors played quite well tonight and the TJ Ford factor was a reason for the Raps success as he started for the first time since Dec. 11th. Calderon stepped aside realizing that Ford is more effective when he is starting. Both had big games.

Yeah Ford had a huge game… for some reason I want think though that the raps can play better with calderon controlling the game. I feel he distributes the ball to the other players more than ford does. I’m sure Ford will prove me wrong though and continue to step up his game

You make a great point on Calderon, but at times he goes quite cold shooting. I do like Ford alot though. I loved him during his college days at Texas. He can be better ball distributor than he has shown this season.

Personally I like Calderon, but he lacks that killer instinct, during key parts of the game he runs the offense very smoothly distributes as well as anyone in the game. But when the Rap’s haven’t scored in a few touches you don’t see him look to get to the hole, isolate his man, nail a key jumper he plays vey much in the flow of the game let’s it come to him; which in most cases is actually what you want.
I just feel like TJ takes those moments upon himself to try to directly change the flow of the game, good or bad
It would not be unlike having two Qb’s one great game manager who isn’t going to make the throw that loses the game and another that will take some chances but possibly win a game with a spectacular throw; Sam Mitchell must have his hands full decidng who to play when

At the end of the day, the Raps main problem is down low….they have no one to compliment Bosh. Bargnani is ineffective on the glass or in the post….he can only shoot or drive. The Raps are still a couple players away from being dangerous….but they really need an inside presence to help Bosh out.
