Well, I didn’t even mention the linebacker position in my free-agency preview. Nevertheless, the Bills made their first move on that front acquiring former Giants starter Kawika Mitchell. The Buffalo News is reporting that Mitchell is expected in Buffalo later this afternoon to ink a deal.
On the defensive tackle front, it is also being reported that Jacksonville’s Marcus Stroud will be visiting the Bills today in hopes of initiating a trade. Stroud is not a free agent, but is a former Pro Bowler.
============================================
Terms of the Mitchell deal are 5 years, 17.5 million - 5 million guaranteed.

Mitchell is a nice addition and if they can land Stroud, he would be another solid pick up!

I’m happy with the signing, but I’m curious to see what the cost was. I think there are greater needs, and hopefully they didn’t overspend here. Stroud would be a great pick-up. Again though, I wonder what they would have to give up.
