If you are a casual fan, March Madness bandwagon jumper, or Basketball fanatic this is THE game to watch Saturday night the countries #1 in Memphis takes on the #2 Tennessee. These Teams know each other quite well having played last year Memphis scoring ten straight late to take the game. Memphis likes to Run and Gun while Tennessee likes to press and slow tempo classic matchup two great teams with opposing styles.
I like the Volunteers shot in this one Memphis has looked beatable especially lately though they haven’t lost they carry the extra burden of “being perfect” it can be too much to bare and I think a meltdown now would serve to motivate this team come tournament time.
Also their is some animosity between these teams Tennesse’s coach Bruce Pearl let a nice sound bite slip…
“There is no program in the country that respects us less than Memphis, and that’s because we haven’t done enough to earn their respect. That should bother our fans enough that we should try to show Memphis we are indeed a national program. But we have to do it on the floor.”
