The Baltimore Ravens fired head coach Brian Billick today, after finishing the season a disappointing 5-11. Prior to yesterdays victory over the Steelers, Baltimore had lost nine consecutive games in a row. Although Billick’s tenure in Baltimore comes to a disappointing end, he will best be remembered for leading the Ravens to a 2001 Super Bowl victory and a franchise-best 13-3 record in 2006. Billick went an impressive 80-64 during his tenure as head coach for the Ravens, and it should be interesting to see who the Ravens select to succeed him. We will continue to update you on the situation as it develops, including any possible speculation on a replacement for Billick.
